In testimony to congress on how to "fix the nation's debt" problem, the Honorable David M. Walker, CPA, said:

“...the tax rate for the lowest tax bracket would have to be increased from 10 percent to 25 percent; that tax rate on incomes in the current 25 percent bracket would have to be increased to 63 percent; and the tax rate of the highest bracket would have to be raised from 35 percent to 88 percent.”

Sherika Ralliford

Sherika Ralliford, MBA, is an Investment Advisor with nearly a decade of experience in the financial services industry. Her career spans large wirehouse environments and boutique investment firms known for delivering institutional-grade research and market insights featured on national financial media, including CNBC. Throughout her career, Sherika has had the opportunity to learn directly from seasoned advisors—many with over 25 years of firm ownership—gaining a rare, behind-the-scenes understanding of how successful investment strategies are designed, implemented, and sustained across market cycles.

As her experience deepened, Sherika observed a consistent shortcoming in traditional financial planning: portfolios are often built around standardized allocations rather than intentional strategy. She believes investing should be purposeful and structured—designed to manage risk, adapt to changing markets, and pursue growth with discipline—rather than relying on timing or hope. In her view, long-term success is not solely about what is owned in a portfolio, but how those assets are positioned, managed, and structured over time.

In 2024, Sherika relocated to the Boise, Idaho area to work with Desert Rose Capital Management, where she helps bring institutional-level investment strategies to everyday investors. A core component of this work centers on Desert Rose’s Integrated Options Portfolio, a flagship strategy designed to emphasize structure, risk management, and intentional portfolio construction. This approach reflects Sherika’s belief that strategic implementation—how assets are owned and managed—can be just as important as asset selection itself.

Sherika upholds a fiduciary responsibility to the clients she serves, emphasizing transparency, alignment, and thoughtful decision-making throughout the planning process. Her experience includes IPOs, secondary offerings, private placements, alternative assets,
insurance strategies, and collaborative planning alongside tax and estate professionals.

She holds a Master of Business Administration from Lynn University and is an alumna of Florida A&M University. Her commitment to proactive financial planning is deeply personal. After her mother was diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer’s at age 56, Sherika spent seven years as her caregiver—an experience that shaped her perspective on preparation, protection, and the importance of planning before life’s uncertainties arise.

Today, Sherika is passionate about helping individuals and families move beyond conventional financial thinking and toward clarity, confidence, and control—using strategy, structure, and education as the foundation for long-term financial success.
